Lives and works in Almaty.
In 1969 graduated from Abai Kazakh Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of Art and Graphic.
Member of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR.
Member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

and Awards
Laureate of the 1992 Kazakhstan State Award for the “The Death of Otrar” film.
Art director of more than 20 feature films of Aimanov film studio “Kazakhfilm”.
Works are kept in public and private collections in Kazakhstan, Germany, England, Turkey and USA
