YERKIN

Born in 1940, Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Lived and worked in Almaty until 2015.

In 1962 graduated from Gogol Alma-Ata Art School.

In 1973 graduated from Surikov Moscow Art Institute.

Member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Honorary title “Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR” (1989).

People’s Deputy of the USSR. Member of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR (1990).

Winner of the “Platinum Tarlan” Independent Award (2000).

His works were exhibited at numerous republican, all Union, international exhibitions and competitions in Kazakhstan, Russia, Latvia, Kyrgyzstan, Hungary, Great Britain, Germany and USA.

His works can be found in public and private collections and foundations of Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Great Britain and other foreign countries.
