Born in 1958, Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Lives and works in Almaty.
In 1977 graduated from Gogol Alma-Ata College of Art.
In 1985 graduated from All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (Moscow).
In 2004 graduated with a master’s degree from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Laureate of UNESCO 1994-1995 International Competition for Accomplishments in Arts, France (1995).
Laureate of the Kazakhstan Youth Union Award for Accomplishments in Arts, Kazakhstan (1996).
Fellowship recipient of Henry Clews American Fund and France Ministry of Culture – La Napoule Fellowship, France (1993).
Fellowship recipient from the Union of Artists of the USSR, Russia (1989–1991).
Participant of many national and international exhibitions in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Switzerland, France, USA, Holland, South Korea, Italy, UAE, Liechtenstein, Israel, Great Britain and Turkey.
